How's Your Diet?

Has your mom ever told you about the five basic food groups? If not, she failed as a mother. We do not think about what we are consuming or howit will effect us in the future. Studies show that one's diet a a child is important. Think about it this way, if one has an overweight child, the worst thing to do is to place them on a restrictive diet even though it may seem to be the best choice. There are better approaches such as involving the child in picking the meals and encouraging them to exercise.

For those who would like to help their child with their eating habits, click this link. ---> How to overcome obesity

Now, if you watched the video, you know that children who are obese eat more calories than they can burn in a day.

A solution would be to enroll your child in programs that promote weight loss such as Weight Watchers or even tennis classes--a child is most active when he/she is around their peers. So, do not be afraid to invest in after school activities/programs.

Another solution would be to pay attention to your child's portions. Portion control is key! Your child can only eat what you allow him/her to eat! Chastise the little bastard! You do not want your friends children to toruture your child because he has rolls and is only interested in eating! OK? ...Glad you understand.

One more solution for you who want to help your child lead a healthier lifetyle,

Cut back on certain foods. Too much sodium, sugar, or starch is not good. Look Mom or Dad, I know it hurts to have a porkchop get taken away, but it must be done! Set the porkchop free and replace it with a salad.

Doesn't that look delicious?

You can do this! Your child will thank you for this when they get older. Especially when your son goes to high school and wants to get laid. Whose going to want to fuck a boy with rolls? That's past gross!

Those who do not want to help their child lose weight this video is for you...

Help your child!!! Do not let things get out of control!!!!!

Tasty.

Tastier.

Note (over weight/obese children)

This looks like heaven but it stays on you like hell! It takes minutes to consume this, but weeks to work it all off. Can't leave the junk food alone? Make a pact with yourself. Eat healthy Monday- Saturday and binge on Sunday(this does not mean kill yourself). No one is perfect at eating healthy--we all are guilty of indulging in sinful food groups, but the trick is to work off what you eat!

This is reality

You think you are enjoying a meal from the world's most famous fast food restaurants, but in actuality, the food is enjoying taking over your life. I am not saying give it up forever, just do not make it a habit. If it takes you to post a picture of your favorite celebrity/model on your bathroom mirror, then do so! We each as human beings have different things we adhere to for motivation. Find your nack and stay true to it until you see results. It is not easy being overweight as a child. Being picked on can cause long term emotional and mental issues.

If you think being skinny means a person is in shape, YOU ARE WRONG! There are skinny people who cannot run a lap (skinny people have dull personalities anyway..). Size is an issue when you get to the point where your daily lifestyle consists of lying in bed all day, everyday because you are too lazy to get up and be productive. The key point here is not to turn into a pro tennis player who can run for hours at a time, but to be healthy in your own terms.

Get up and get moving!

  1. The most interesting part to me is the last sentence. Didactic lit can be interesting, but it doesn't grasp you like fiction does. What's the story of the "one who learned the hard way"?

  2. It's interesting because as a larger societal problem we generally concede that advertising and the government un-regulation of harmful products is the main source of childhood obesity, yet your piece points to the unfair burden of exhaustion our world gives the parents of these children who are—because they are CHILDREN—usually helpless/mindless toward the issue. More needs to be written on this subject, calling attention to the absurdity of the problem vs. expectations.
